Dear Parents,
Mountainair Jr/Sr High School is starting a ski club. This is an excellent chance for your son or daughter to learn to ski/snowboard and improve skills.
Ski Santa Fe is offering a great bargain. 5 ski trips for $240 or 5 snowboard trips for $265. The package includes a full day lift ticket, full day rental, and a half day lesson. Five trips with rental & lessons normally costs $660!!
For your child to participate, they must meet the following requirements:
- Be in grades 6-12.
- Be academically eligible, per NMAA guidelines and school policy.
- Must not have received a “major” referral this school year (this is interpreted as having been suspended from school).
- Pay a non-refundable $20 deposit to receive the forms required to sign-up.
- Pay the balance of the package no later than one week before our first trip.
- Funds are not refundable after the first trip.
- First trip will be the week of Jan 19th.
- Be willing to arrive at school no later than 6:00 a.m. the first trip & no later than 6:30 a.m. the other four trips. We will arrive home between 7:00 and 7:30 each evening.
- A sack lunch is acceptable (and preferred since the resort cafeteria is expensive).
- Money for supper at Wendy’s will be needed.
- Be willing to attend a morning lesson with instructors provided by Ski Santa Fe.
- If your child does not participate in the lesson Ski Santa Fe will dismiss them from the program with no refund.
- Provide a signed field trip form with insurance information, in case of accident.
